Girls Inc. of Tarrant County provides counseling and support services for girls ages 6-18 in our community. Fees are set on a sliding scale basis depending on income.
Engaging in counseling provides a unique opportunity for self-examination and positive change. As adolescents make the transition from childhood into adulthood, they are faced with many challenges in our modern and advanced world. Social relationships are crucial, extremely complicated and challenging at this stage of life. Relationship difficulties can lead to anger, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and withdrawal. Adolescents need a neutral person who can understand the dynamics of their world that helps them become empowered, build confidence, increase maturity and improve decision-making skills.
